Finally they're done! After countless hours of editing I just feel like I need to get out of the house! My head is pounding and I could really use some fresh air. I know sitting many hours in front of the computer isn't healthy for me (or anyone else for that matter) but this time it was totally worth it! I'm super happy with how these turned out! This photoshoot took place near my friends place at some old bunkers in the middle of a forest. Nowadays they're adorned with graffiti and that made it the perfect scene for this photoshoot. That same day I also took a bunch of other photos with slightly different themes of some of my other friends but I didn't want to post it all at once (because that would've been a shitload of photos). So be expecting a whole lot of photos in the upcoming days!
TODD SELBY'S 'THE SELBY IS IN YOUR PLACE' IS MY NEW FAVORITE BOOK. CANNOT STOP STARING AT THESE PHOTOS. SO DANM INSPIRING.
Howdy! Soaking wet blogger here updating after a very long period of silence (I do apologize)! It's mostly school and packing for our move that has occupied my time. But even when I have had time I've been way too tired to write or take any photos. Guess I just haven't adjusted to the pain in the ass early mornings yet. Getting up at 6:30 am is a real bitch... In other news, I've been planning to have another photo shoot with my friends who were lovely enough to volunteer as models. And I'm super excited! Don't know when or where we're gonna shoot yet, though.
The forests of Hirvensalo make the perfect setting for a photo shoot. And with my beautiful model, Jenni, I had all the elements that are required to take the perfect photo. And I did indeed manage to get several photos that I'm more than satisfied with. I can't even explain the excitement and joy I usually experience when taking photos. And I'm starting to get more and more convinced about my future as a photographer. Please, let me know what you think about these photos! I always appreciate your comments, whether it's praise or instructive critique!
The last photo actually has a pretty funny story behind it. Don't you agree that Jenni looks like she'd just seen a ghost? Well, we were almost done with shooting when we suddenly heard this terrible sound. We came to the conclusion that it was an animal getting killed by a fox or maybe two raccoon dogs fighting (but we don't know for sure since we didn't actually see something). I swear I have never in my life heard such a horrid sound. And I think I captured the atmosphere on photo pretty well, haha. Anyways, after hearing that we agreed that we were done shooting and headed home as fast as we could.
Had to drag my ass out of bed at 9 am yesterday, due to my tattoo appointment. I really don't think I would've made it without my lovely gal Jenni, because this time I was even more nervous than the first time (how is that even possible?!). I believe it might have something to do with the nightmare I had the night before, in which my new tattoo failed utterly and completely...but luckily I am not a fortuneteller and that was not a premonition! I LOVE my new tattoo! Though it hurt as hell (and my wrist is still super sore) it was totally worth it!
Now some of you must be wondering what the roman numerals stand for. Well, my first tattoo was dedicated for my mom and dad. This one's for my dog. I always wanted to get a roman numerals tattoo and I think getting the date of the day when my dog entered my life was the perfect way to go. While some might think getting a tattoo for one's pet is the stupidest idea ever, I think being part of my family she definitely deserves one.
