So this post is about this lovely French pop folk band called Cocoon that I found accidentally when I was surfing the net. The founders, Mark Daumail and Morgane Imbeaud have both amazing voices that go together like bears and honey. When you listen to their music it's like suddenly the space around you becomes a forest in a land somewhere far away, there's not a single cloud in the sky, the sun is shining and warming your skin and everything is so calm and serene. It's really pretty amazing what music can do to you, what it can make you feel! I'm for sure gonna go to the record store and buy their newest album Where the Ocean Ends. You guys should definitely check them out as well!

My friend Vilma and I were at the church singing Christmas carols yesterday. I have to say that I've never in my life been so nervous about anything else. Five minutes before the performance I told Vilma: something along the lines of "there's no way I'm getting up on that stage". Yep, I was so nervous that I seriously felt like backing down. I also felt like throwing up. But Vilma pushed me and kept telling me it's going to be just fine and so I did it! I'm a rookie with performing and stuff so it's good to have someone a bit more experienced by my side. It's calming.

I had been waiting for yesterday for so many months, I still can't believe I actually have a tattoo now! Yesterday at 11 am we headed to Dogbite with Johanna and Jenni. I was terrified, so there's no way I could've done it without them by my side. At first it didn't hurt at all, but after say ten minutes my whole arm started to get numb. But it was all worth it, because now I have this beautiful piece of art tattooed on my arm for the rest of my life. The two feathers represent my mom and dad. I think I'm going to get one for my brother too, as soon as I can afford it that is... I'm curious, if you'd get a tattoo, what would it look like?

Haha, I'm like the worst blogger ever. I know I promised you a post last week (and even as I did so deep down inside I probably knew this would happen). But there's just been a lot of things going on in my life lately and I really am truly sorry for so utterly and completely sucking at this! Well anyhow, here's the one week late post! My "new" jacket from Zara.

Haven't been updating the blog too much lately. Sorry about that! Don't really know what to tell you, other than that I'm obsessed with Jared Leto (not creepy), waiting eagerly for Saturday to come and very exhausted after being sick for two fricking weeks. Promise I'll post something a bit more interesting than photos of photos of my wall tomorrow. Perhaps I'll show you some of my newest purchases... Here's some music for you to enjoy until that! Brooke Fraser has such a lovely voice :)

Yesterday was nice. Woke up at 12 am and realized I hadn't planned anything for that day. So I grabbed my phone and gave Johanna a call. Finally we decided that going to the mall would be the safest option. Emilia and Frida also tagged along. After seeing this Melodica fabric bag all over the internet I was thrilled and surprised to find one in Carlings (because the selection here in Turku is very constrained). Since I had always wanted one I grabbed two of them and dashed to the checkout rightaway, and it only cost me 10 euros!

Why the hell am I always late? Whether it comes to being on time for school or buying a limited edition product, I never seem to make it. So I guess you could draw some kind of conclusion from the pictures and what I just said (no?). Well, in case not, let me explain! This lovely MAC Disney Venomous Villains Collection hit the stores september 30th. It's a beauty collaboration between Disney and MAC and it features four of the baddest bad guys from all of Disney history: Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Snow White's Evil Queen and Doctor Facilier from the Princess and the Frog. It's actually more like four collections within a collection, each one inspired by a different Disney character.

My favorite was straightaway Maleficent's collection. Her makeup is a lot more intense than the others', very sparkly with lots of dark colors. The coolest part of the collection was in my opinion the mineralised eyeshadows and the nail polishes which I instantly fell in love with! AND THEY WERE ALL SOLD OUT...ah, this bitterness wont go awaaay...it would've been so perfect for the halloween party I'm having two weeks from now. But I guess I'll have to do without it...

1. I hate winter from the bottom of my heart. But after living this north for 16 years already, is it any wonder?

2. I find different cultures very fascinating. They also give me tons of inspiration when I’m painting. In my opinion Indian culture is among the most interesting ones.

3. Favorite movies: Inception, (500) Days of Summer (and this of course has absolutely nothing to do with Joseph Gordon - Levitt), Titanic (don't laugh, it's srsly a great movie!), West Side Story, Moulin Rouge.

4. Drawing and painting is my passion, so every time I feel uneasy I grab my brush and watercolors and disclose my feelings on paper, it's rather therapeutic!

5. Recently I’ve got interested in photography a lot. I’m definitely gonna buy a system camera as soon as I can afford one.

6. I love glee and all sorts of musicals! Only High School Musical I can't stand, no offense all HSM-fans out there...

7. I have three goals that I want to achieve within my lifetime: a) write and illustrate a children’s book, b) have my own photo studio and c) go interrailing.

8. I love singing and I'm pretty good at it even if I say so myself! During high school after meeting Vilma whom with I share the same interest of music and singing, I’ve been performing a lot with her. A couple of years ago I'd never have thought that I'd be able to do that, having this terrible stage fright!

9. I wish I knew how to play the guitar...so bad...because then I'd be even cooler than I already am.
10. My brother is my bff. He's awesome!

11. I wrote a blog together with my friend Pilvi back in junior high...probably the most embarrassing thing I've ever done...you'll get it when you see it -->link<--

12. I have a 5-year-old tiny Bishon Bolognese. Everyone in my family, except me, have asthma so we weren’t originally planning to get one. I’m hoping to get a second dog someday...

13. My friend passed away last year in a traffic accident. She was riding her scooter when a bus drew over her. After this I’ve been avoiding riding scooters and motorbikes and it's one of the many reasons I don't own one myself.

14. I was actually born in Sweden in Stockholm. When I was eleven my family and I moved to Finland. In the beginning we just wanted to give it a go but then we ended up staying here. Sometimes I find myself thinking what life would be like if we had never moved here.

15. I’ve never really liked soda or any other sweet drinks for that matter. Nobody even bothers to ask me what I want to drink anymore, they systematically pour water in my glass.

16. When it comes to school I’m quite good at languages but I suck at any subjects wherein you have to read and memorize stuff, like history. Lazy? You got it!

17. I’ve studied French for two years now.

18. I have a love-hate relationship with Facebook.

19. I’m kinda lazy...that’s why I’m hella lucky to have good genes (thanks mom and dad!). No matter what I eat or do (or don’t do) I gain no weight, it's as simple as that. I did dance a lot when I was younger though, hip hop and jazz.

20. Lastly, I love summer and traveling, but who wouldn’t?

One more edition of these oldies! These photos make me want to go on an adventure out in the wild. I've never actually really been out hiking. Should probably do something about that. The second last photo is of my mom and dad.

More of these goodies! These were among the best black and white photos I could find. The man in the last photo is my dad and the woman in the photo above him is my mother.

Some old photos from mom and dad's photo album, which I was flicking through today as I was spending my day sick at home. Photos taken with film cameras always have that little extra to them, atmosphere-wise. More to come soon...

Since the weather wasn't too good today my brother and I decided to go rent a movie. Ignoring the potential rain clouds we made our 8-kilometer-way to the video rental riding on our bicycles. And above, as you can see, is what we ended up renting. (500) Days of Summer. We just watched it and all I can say is that my mind has been blown away! Surely the male lead Joseph Gordon-Levitt had something to do with it but all in all it was one of the greatest and sweetest movies I've ever seen. Surprisingly enough Inception is also one of my current faves, haha... If you know any good movies that you think I should check out, make sure to leave a comment below. Hope all of you have a nice weekend!

I've never been a big fan of roller coasters. But there's something about the ferris wheel, which always makes me gravitate towards it.
